With even **remotely** good policy, at least 95 per cent of those who have lost their lives and property in Nepal would have been saved.
Thus the sequence goes :-
FREEDOM AND RULE OF LAW > PROSPERITY > APPROPRIATE BUILDING STANDARDS > SAFETY
No matter how strong an earthquake that rocks Japan, casualties will be extremely small.
Japan is not a free country in some ways, but economically it has been one of the more free countries. That’s all that is needed to achieve prosperity.
My message to all Third World citizens: TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. Earthquakes are bad, but not necessarily fatal.
Now, that doesn’t mean human suffering is to be neglected. The world needs to rally behind Nepal’s SELF-CREATED disaster and support it.
But Nepal should try to find out WHY it suffers so badly.
ALL THE GODS WILL NEVER SAVE NEPAL. ONLY FREEDOM WILL.
